Iris "pixie" bulbs, stored from 2024, are awaked from dormancy

 

When i begun to store the bulbs in a Kaufland advertising material (paper) in autumn 2024, i didn't know when the dormancy will be over. Yesterday i opened the crumplet paper and two out of seven bulbs, begun to finish theyr dormancy.

The pot has a 7 ½ cm (2.95 inch) in height with leaves in the range of 9-10 cm (3.54-3.93 inch).

Garden snail shell candle

 

 

What you need :

• empty garden snail shell. I found alot of empty shells. I wonder if they go to die there or someone dump them.

• threads from a lace

• used sunflower oil.

• aluminum foil used in tealight candles.

The used sunflower oil will burn for about 45 minutes. For a candle wick i used only the inner threads that was inside a lace !

You can now use it for sterilize a tool with the candle heat.

 

Attention :

If you use just the lace without the inner threads, a thin black smoke begun to rise. That develop soot and will land somewhere where you live.

Watch out for spillage, don't leave any fires unattended and put the shell on a dish.

You can hold it with your fingers, but it will get hot on some places near the the shell margin.
